Membership sign ups – August 8th started a new 4-H enrollment year on 4HOnline. All profiles changed to INACTIVE ON AUGUST 3rd and you will be required to re-enroll for the next 4-H year. Profile items change every year so it is important that everyone (youth and adults) update their profile before submitting.  website address is  https://az.4honline.com.  Pay the $20.00 enrollment fee by cash or check to one of the club treasurers (Hayley or Christian) as there is not an option to pay online.

Bylaws

  • Draft bylaws will be posted on the website in the next couple of days for everyone to review. We will vote on the bylaws at the next meeting.

  • Need to establish a committee that will need to meet and review the proposed bylaws before the next meeting.

Project reports

  • Horse – Ms. Stagg

    • For those participating in State 4h competition - deadline of September 11 is coming up to submit paperwork to Curt.  If you participated in last year's fair, you are eligible to compete.  The competition isNovember 11 - 13 in Queen Creek.

    • Deadline to submit horse registration is October 1.  Should have forms next week.  I have to sign them.

    • If you want to rope, there is a mandatory meeting on Sunday, September 18 at the whip and spur arena in Marana.  Begins at 8:00 am.

    • Sorting practices will start back up in September.  They are held on the east side at Phil Nichol's place off Bear Canyon Road.

    • There is an open gymkhana in Florence on September 17.  Begins at 5:00 p.m.  

  • Clover Kids – Ms. Martin (waggiemoo@hotmail.com)

  • Cavy – Ms. Sarah (luminous0708@gmail.com)

    • Breed show-Sat 9/10/16 @Vaquero Feeds (3301 N Freeway) 11 am

    • Ownership deadline is Jan 15th 2017

    • Everyone will need to take a QA (Quality Assurance) class this year unless you've taken it within the last 3 years

Community Service Projects (Please review for next meeting)

  • Isaiah - Tractor Supply Event – Saturday, September 17, 2016. From 8 – 2. Need live animals, project boards and live bodies to sit at the table. Mr. Skip is bringing the dairy cows that were such a big hit last year. Names of those that will be able to attend and bring an animal/poster board or ribbons, trophies, etc

  • Other ideas:

    • Parking lot clean up

      road clean up around fire station

      cards to nursing home

      wreaths

      christmas presents

      make dinner for a family

      volunteer at food bank

      paw day

      petting zoo at nursing home

      can collection for food bank

Meeting location and time change – Isaiah –

  • Due to the limited room capacity – we will need to move the meeting place of our meetings.  If we move the meetings to the Golder Ranch Training site on Golder Ranch Drive, we will can have two rooms – one for the Cloverbuds and one for the regular meeting. Meetings would be the first Thursday of Month at the Golder Ranch Fire District Training Facility at 3845 E. Golder Ranch Dr.Time to be 7:00 p.m. If you have an idea of another, more central location that we could obtain, please see me after the meeting.

Calendar for the year - Isaiah

Project leaders – please submit dates of important events for the next year to Kayla so she can add them to the calendar. Even if you don’t know exact dates, just give us an idea of what we should expect for an upcoming month so members can plan. This calendar will be posted to the website next month.
